Searching for a Maintenance Planner with a robust background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance planning, ideally from the consumer products or high-speed manufacturing sectors. This role is crucial to ensuring the seamless operations of our manufacturing plant by acting as the principal contact between the maintenance department and all other plant departments. The ideal candidate should be familiar with SAP, have a solid grasp of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and be adept at reading drawings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting and tissue/towel production.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of maintenance work planning and scheduling, encompassing predictive, preventive, precision, proactive, and planned maintenance techniques.
  • Advanced understanding of equipment mechanical/electrical operations.
  • Proficiency with SAP and CMMS is a plus.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Must-have experience in Microsoft Project, lean manufacturing, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Liaise between the maintenance department and other plant divisions.
  • Oversee both immediate and long-range planning.
  • Efficiently use and provide CMMS training.
  • Review work orders for accuracy, offering feedback where necessary.
  • Conduct Weekly Planning meetings with a focus on safety and pressing tasks.
  • Dispatch work order backlogs ahead of meetings.
  • Create and share detailed job plans, documenting repair strategies.
  • Handle purchase orders for specific parts and materials.
  • Monitor and replenish storeroom inventory via CMMS.
  • Close work orders in CMMS promptly.
  • Keep CMMS records updated, including completed tasks and SOPs.
  • Champion the Reliability Work System (RWS).
  • Manage external contractors as required.
  • Adhere to repair budget constraints.
  • Source repair materials.
  • Coordinate with key departments such as Production, Engineering, and HR.
  • Participate in production meetings, coordinating work order strategies.
  • Ensure timely completion of CMMS work order backlogs.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, not required.
