We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer. You will play an essential role in the Melt Shop and Roaster configurations. Your expertise will be paramount during the commissioning, start-up, and post start-up operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and innovation in our processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in a similar role. Experience in heavy manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Solid grounding in process, technical, and analytical domains.
  • Previous supervisory experience and knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiment (DOE) methodologies.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Adept at problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with MS Project Management, Primavera, Minitab, and Thermo-Calc software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to grow and evolve with the company.

 

Essential Duties

  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold all safety and environmental standards, policies, and procedures. Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Technical Support: Collaborate on the final design, configuration, and installation of the Melt Shop and Roaster equipment and processes.
  • Process Improvement: Work with Operations and Engineering teams to optimize production, reduce costs, and implement continuous improvement strategies for the Melt Shop and Roaster operations.
  • Data Management: Collect, measure, and analyze data using standard scientific and statistical methods. Develop and maintain comprehensive reports tracking key operational metrics.
  • Capital Projects: Provide support for capital improvement projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk analyses of equipment, processes, and systems to preempt potential issues.
  • Operational Backup: Step in as the backup supervisor for the Operations department as necessary.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or chemical engineering is mandatory. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
