Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities, ability to work professionally with a diverse group and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Supervisory experience preferred, with knowledge of permitting, stack testing, and water analysis.
  • Work in a high-speed manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and temperature extremes, using personal protective equipment and climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals used in the manufacturing process.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and technical support in Health and Safety, collaborating with the plant team to achieve practical EHS solutions, and promoting employee involvement for a positive work environment.
  • Oversee Health and Safety regulatory compliance, maintaining systems, processes, and records, while conducting training for compliance.
  • Identify, address, and communicate Health and Safety issues professionally, performing audits, risk assessments, and accident/incident investigations with corrective actions.
  • Manage worksite industrial hygiene and coordinate with workers' compensation, physicians, and management for prompt employee medical treatment.
  • Act as a liaison with workers' compensation for efficient injury management and provide guidance on employees returning to work within their restrictions.
  • Allocate decision-making authority and responsibilities effectively and identify barriers affecting customer service and retention, offering solutions.
  • Systematically evaluate business opportunities for positive results.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
